Sagrada Familia the lost plans

The only complete set of Guadis plans were destroyed in 1936 and work is proegressing from photographic records of his studio.

Sagrada familia Barcelona tourism 8Through the years Gaudi worked with many great architects and his disciples and assistants, as Francesc Berenguer, Josep Maria Jujol, Josep Francesc Ràfols, Cesar Martinell, Joan Bergos, Francesc Folguera, Josep Joan Rubio and Canaleta.

Upon his death his assistant took over the work Domenec Sugranes that the construction of three towers of the facade of the Nativity continued.

After a period in which the work stopped in 1944 it was taken up by a team of Francesc Quintana, Isidre Puig i Boada, Lluis Bonet i Francesc Gari and Cardone, who assumed leadership in 1983. This team is mainly responsible for the construction of the facade of the Passion relying on the left work by Gaudi and models by Guadi trying to faithfully follow as closely as possible the personal and unique style of Gaudi.

Finally, in 1985 a director was appointed Jordi Bonet i Armengol, with a team that includes Carles Buxade, Joan Margarit, Jordi Fauli i Oller, Josep Gomez and Mark Burry. This team is primarily responsible for the interior of the temple to date to cover the vaults of the central and lateral naves. They are following the criteria set by Gaudi, but with new innovation especially in the use of new materials such as concrete and the application of new technologies such as CAD design
