Sagrada Familia Museum

The Sagrada Familia has a Museum located in the basement of the temple which was formerly the workshops. Opened on June 29, 1961 the plans and original drawings of Gaudi, models of the temple and various objects related to the project, highlighting the liturgical furniture designed by Gaudi are on show

The polifunicular inverted model of string and weights used to calculate the building structure and design the shape of the church of the Colonia Güell at 1 / 15 scale is also on show which was used by Gaudi for many of the structural solutions of the Sagrada Familia.

The museum also has a room dedicated to the employees of the architect and an audiovisual section, different views of the Sagrada Familia and different objects, plans, drawings and photographs on the various works of Gaudi, including a biographical testimony of the architect are also on show. Temporary exhibitions are held devoted to different aspects of the Gaudi project.

Similarly, there is an area recently installed on one side of the facade of the Passion, for an exhibition devoted primarily to the multiple structural solutions, designed by Gaudi, with special emphasis on studies conducted by this geometric architect.
