Nightlife in Barcelona

Barcelona has become a focal point for nightlife in Spain since the mid-90s with the encouragement of Pont Aeri and Chassis. Currently, two areas of public and indigenous alternative bars and clubs in Barcelona are divided -Casa_Mila_-_Barcelona,infobetween the district of Gracia, in the upper part of the city with a highly politicized environment, and the neighborhood of Pueblo Nuevo, in the former area Industrial de Barcelona, north of the Olympic zone, with a fairly young audience and some of the biggest clubs in the city located in renovated industrial buildings. The public areas are more selective in Sant Gervasi and Tibidabo.

Culture club outside the main area is the old city, divided between the district of El Raval, next to the Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter, on the other side. There are a wide variety of bars with an audience made up of tourists, foreign residents and a minority of Barcelona resident. Ensanche, especially Valencia, Gran Via, Paseo de Gracia and Muntaner, has one of the highest number of restaurants and local music.

In recent years they have proliferated in the local gay scene.  The most commercial entertainment is around the Spanish Town, located in Montjuich, the Maremagnum complex, located just off the Ramblas and the Olympic Port.

Barcelona offers visitors a chance to walk from the Roman ruins and medieval town to the quarters of Catalan modernism, with its characteristic buildings, their square blocks of song sections, tree-lined streets and wide avenues. The old town is almost flat, while the new quarters as they approach the coast mountains, become more outstanding.
